Life will never be the same again.

Am working in airBaltic for three months already. Passed my probation period. Awesome! So... what has changed since I've returned to Latvia and started working as a cabin crew?
Everything has changed! My lifestyle, people around me, my open-mind'ness, my hunger for travelling and of course my physical health - my skin, hair condition, my sinus (running nose, sore throat).
There are plenty amazing things working as a cabin crew, but also bad things, what are affecting me on the regular basis/private life. Not so cool things are: as the air in the aircraft is very dry, my skin, lips, hair gets dry like crazy. So...balsams, creams, lotions, sprays has being used a lot.
Next thing is bloating. If on the ground I wear uniform size 36 and it fits just perfect, then up in the air, in the aircraft my uniform becomes so tight, ridiculously tight. Mega bloating is in my daily routine, And another thing - I'm feeling like out of space. People are asking, where I have been or, what day I'm gping there or there, and I just can't answer. I just don't know. I'm flying everyday and I don't know, what day, date it is, and where I'm flying to/from. It's funny, yet sad. Basically, my concentration skills become worse.

Hello, Larnaca!

Yesterday I had my first night flight to Larnaca, Cyprus. Flew for 4 hours to Cyprus, stayed there for a little while and flew back to Riga. It has been pretty hard flight, physically.

Was passing out now and then, but I've managed to keep myself together and luckily enough most of the passengers were asleep, so it was calm and easy, just couple of cabin calls.

Had a great crew with me. Found out so much new information for my upcoming trips/adventures. So useful!

Crete. Charter flight.

I had my first experience with charter flight, with Tez Tour. Everything went so easy, people were buying so much food and drinks, calm and interesting, until the very end...

Some people got very drunk (you name the nationality). And started to fight 1 minute before landing. Fight was in the back of the cabin, plenty of people were standing, some people were screaming and shouting and I (from the front) could just command to sit down and fasten the seatbelts, since we were very close to the ground, touch down and I couldn't see proper, what is happening, since it was happening in the end and people were standing. They totally ignored it. We touched the ground and they started to fight even more. Police and ambulance were waiting outside. Blood were everywhere in the rear part of he cabin. It was very scary and emotional. I mean - people are going on a vacation with kids, grandparents and then some poeple start to fight and scream and abuse each other. So stupid and unnecessary. Why someone would do something like that? Ruining other people vacation.
But all is well, what ends well. People got to the police office and hospital and we were flying back home almost without delay.
What an experience.

Crete, you're so beautiful!

Good morning, Crete!

That respect.

This daily overwhelming respect between cabin crew and flight crew. Those daily "Thankyou's" for the beautiful flights and emotions. Priceless!

100 hours!

Today's the day when I hit my first 100 hours of active crew
(170 duty hours),
I mean - pure flying time in the sky.

Flew to Milan
(and am flying to Milan next week for three days, woop woop).

It's almost one month since I'm working oficialy in the airBaltic.
And I must say -it feels amazing.

Hello, Vienna!

Today was a good, easy, calm flight.

Worked as a second number (rear part). First time I did understand everything and did everything correct, without the rush, without the mistakes. And I'm feeling proud about it.

This was my first flight after 3 day off's and my illness (temperature and no voice at all).
Had to read announcements, and it was hurtful and sound like "after-five-days-of-heavy-drinking-and-shouting".
But, oh well. I've survived.
Now many, many cabin "
crefies" are ill, about 30 people.

One "interesting" thing happened today. Felt like there is a tiny leakage in air supply. I mean - felt dizzy and sleepy. But I hope it's just me, and that I was all alone in the rear part, so my mind was playing with me. But after the flights I spoke with my colleagues and they felt the same way. So...never say that CC life is easy-peasy, it never is. I mean - in the case of hypoxia (condition in which the body or a region of the body is deprived of adequate oxygen supply) your brain get damaged, and never restored, and if flight crew don't do anything (descent) you die. I mean - you don't even recognise that stage, you get dizzy, sleepy, and then you get very happy for no reason, and then you are gone. Just for your information. Haha. So...my point was.. I felt very sleepy and dizzy.

My June's schedule

I'm so happy with my June's schedule. You can't even imagine.

I'm going to be in Italy for three days, travelling around it.
Milan, Bologna, Sicily, Pisa.
I have planned to travel Italy in one of my vacations, but now - no vacations are needed, I'll do it while working. Can't imagine, how happy I am about it. One thing is for sure - when you want something, all universe gathers together to help you. That is how it feels.

Also this month I'm flying to Cyprus, Spain, Greece, France, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Poland, Austria, Netherlands, UK.

How cool is that?
Bring it ON!

Can't open my eyes, but, oh, well. Good morning, people!
